Making Safety Measurable – with Padura Shu

In our daily work as a technical service provider, we kept running into the same issue: there simply wasn’t a load monitoring system that met the real-world demands of modern event production. Existing systems were too inflexible, too complicated, or simply impractical. That’s why we at Pradler Veranstaltungstechnik decided to develop our own: Padura Shu – a load monitoring system built from the ground up, by professionals for professionals.

Why develop our own system?

We wanted a solution that was wireless, powered by a permanent supply, and at the same time compact, rugged, and reliable. Standard systems just didn’t cut it – they were either battery-powered (and thus unreliable for long productions) or wired (making setup too cumbersome).

Our solution: A load-measuring shackle with a CAT cable connected to an interface that transmits data wirelessly – powered either by mains or battery, and housed in a durable full-metal casing. Easy to mount, quick to deploy, and designed for the realities of everyday event work.

Faster Setup – Real-Time Safety

In many projects, assessing load distribution on trusses is a real challenge. Padura Shu delivers the critical data instantly:
Live readings from all measurement points, clearly visualized and easy to interpret.

This saves valuable setup time, prevents unnecessary adjustments – and ensures everyone involved knows exactly how much load is hanging where. A major advantage, especially in complex rigging scenarios.

Our system meets the requirements of DGUV Regulation 17 as well as the IGVW Technical Guideline SQ P2.
These include, for example: when multiple chain hoists operate synchronously, load monitoring is mandatory. That’s exactly what Padura Shu was designed for.
